Scott feels that the nation has some inherent
issues; corruption and a very strict class structure
that can only impede growth and erode confidence,
but, so long as you understand their culture,
and work within it (as opposed to against it)
you will find investment easy and rewarding.
The real caveat is that you must choose your
advisors and partners in India wisely. The country’s
culture of corruption combined with the fact
that, to own property in India, in nearly all
cases you need a partner, means you must be able
to trust who you are dealing with. It is therefore
important you vet all information and contacts
you make.
This is where Intrepid Investments adds real
value to the process. We are continually forging
partnerships and developing our network of contacts
and personally vet all organisations we deal
with, taking up banking, accounting and solicitors’ references.
Scott believes that growth in India will track
the growth coming to China and will be a major
force in the world markets during the 21st Century.
