Further to a first class
degree in Law and Business Administration and
Management, Scott cut his teeth on the London
Stock Exchange with W. Greenwell and the Citicorp
subsidiary, Scrimeguer Vickers, but his interest
in property led him to establish his own property
management company in 1989.
It is Scott’s in-depth knowledge of British
and global property markets that has defined his
role as the presenter of the popular BBC TV programme
'Get A New Life' and clearly demonstrated his
knack for monitoring current trends and anticipating
patterns. His understanding of the underlying
factors that affect these markets has become synonymous
with his trusted reputation as an independent
consumer advocate of the many property issues
that currently obsess the UK media and public
alike.
Scott has not only commentated on property related
issues for the BBC, but also ITV, Channel 4, Satellite
TV channels (including Real Estate TV and UKTV), The Mail on Sunday and numerous specialist
titles.
In conjunction with his work as a presenter and
journalist, Scott has recently launched Intrepid
Investments, an innovative international property
consultancy, which endeavours to offer a total
service solution to potential investors interested
in buying property overseas.
As Scott remarks, “In spite of the growing
disenchantment in domestic buy-to-let property
investments and the overheated markets of more
familiar foreign hot spots, essentially people
still trust property as a great vehicle for their
money. Whilst working throughout the world on Get
A New Life, it became clear to me from first hand
experience that a key barrier for most people to
investing in property abroad is the difficulty
in obtaining the appropriate knowledge and contacts
to form considered decisions. Intrepid Investments
intends to meet that challenge head on.”
